Sloppy Drums sample pack from Song Athletics

Laid-back collection includes loops, hits and stems

Song Athletics Sloppy Drums loop one-shot sample pack

Song Athletics have announced the arrival of another drum sample pack that joins their AmBient and Some Drums offerings. Titled Sloppy Drums and accompanied with a tagline of “drunk drummers in late summers”, the third addition to the company’s range takes a far more laid-back approach than your usual loop collection.

The product captures drummer Chris Boot (Daughter, Lone, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Mamas Gun) performing a selection of beats on a Rogers USA ’72 Fullerton kit, with a purposefully relaxed attitude towards timing promising to lend a “lazy complexity” to users’ music. There’s no slacking on the recording front, though, with everything carefully recorded using a selection of mics from Sennheiser, beyerdynamic and Oktava alongside preamps and outboard gear from the likes of Universal Audio and Neve.

The pack contains a total of 40 loops and 60 one-shot samples, along with a collection of 30 stems that allow more in-depth mixing and editing of the looped parts. All of the content is royalty-free, and so can be used in commercial music. Check out the demos below to hear it in action.

Sloppy Drums contains a selection of 24-bit/48kHz WAV files that can be used in any DAW.
