Arturia have announced the release of KeyLab Essential Mk3, a keyboard controller that Arturia say can seamlessly integrate with DAW projects and comes complete with intuitive controls, creative features and a comprehensive software bundle.
KeyLab Essential Mk3 will be available in 49 and 61-note configurations with a choice of black or white finishes in both sizes. The keyboard is velocity-sensitive and has a playing action with a hybrid synth-piano feel. The KeyLab Essential mk3 features encoders, faders and pads amongst its control inputs, as well as a large 2.5 inch LCD display with contextual buttons and two multi-purpose pad banks. It connects to a computer and can be powered via its USB-C connection and also features a MIDI 5-pin DIN output and a control input for pedals, allowing for sustain, expression, or footswitch functionality.
The KeyLab Essential Mk3 has been designed for seamless integration with various DAWs and Arturia software. Custom DAW scripts are available for popular software such as Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Cubase and Bitwig Studio. Additionally, the controller offers enhanced compatibility with Arturia's own software suite, including Analog Lab and V Collection.
More creative features found on the KeyLab Essential Mk3 include a built-in multi-mode arpeggiator, chord play functionality, scale mode for staying in tune and customisable pedal functions.
Arturia say they have prioritised sustainability in the production of the KeyLab Essential Mk3, incorporating a minimum of 40% recycled plastic and reducing its material carbon footprint by 18%.
In addition, the KeyLab Essential Mk3 comes bundled with a comprehensive software package. Included software consists of Analog Lab V with thousands of synth and keys presets, Ableton Live Lite for music recording, Native Instruments' The Gentleman for an intimate upright piano, UVI Model D for a timeless grand piano, Loopcloud with a two-month subscription for access to millions of samples and loops and Melodics for learning to play keys.

The Keylab Essential Mk3 is available now priced at $269€249 for the 61-key and $219€199 for the 49-key version.
